Classification of Cast Polypropylene Films

CPP films can be categorized into General CPP (GCPP), Metallized CPP (MCPP), and Retort CPP (RCPP) films; they feature excellent transparency, uniform thickness, and consistent properties in both the machine and transverse directions, and are typically used as the inner layer material for composite films.

Standard CPP films generally range from 25 to 50 μm in thickness; when laminated with OPP, they offer high transparency, a glossy surface, and a stiff feel, making them a common choice for gift packaging bags. These films also possess good heat-sealing properties. Retort CPP films typically range from 60 to 80 μm in thickness and can withstand high-temperature retorting at 121°C for 30 minutes; they offer superior oil resistance, airtightness, and high heat-seal strength, and are commonly used as the inner layer for meat packaging.
