Durability of polyethylene film
Leave a message
Polyethylene film is highly durable and maintains stable performance across a variety of environments. However, its durability is influenced by factors such as light exposure, temperature, humidity, and oxygen. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation can trigger photo-oxidation, leading to molecular chain scission and a decline in performance. High temperatures also accelerate the aging process of the film.
Regarding the question of whether polyethylene film "dissolves" over time, the issue essentially concerns whether the material undergoes degradation or aging during prolonged use. Under normal conditions, polyethylene film degrades slowly and offers a long service life. However, in harsh environments-such as prolonged exposure to high temperatures or intense light-the rate of degradation accelerates significantly, potentially resulting in brittleness, cracking, and reduced performance.
