BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) film is a vital flexible packaging material characterized by being colorless, odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic. First industrially produced in 1962, the material is manufactured via a biaxial stretching process-predominantly the sequential biaxial stretching method-yielding products with a tensile strength exceeding 120 MPa in the machine direction and 200 MPa in the transverse direction, as well as a brittleness temperature of -50°C.

BOPP film is widely used in sectors such as food packaging (accounting for 42% of usage), adhesive tape substrates, and consumer electronics. Product varieties include standard, heat-sealable, cigarette packaging, pearlescent, metallized, matte, label, and capacitor films.
